Halloween Pumpkins

The weekend before Halloween, the Frame girls went to the Mantorville Halloween Festival. We visited Great Grandma at the gift shop, went on a haunted hay ride (driven by Great Grandpa), and ate dinner out of carved pumpkins! Alexis and Hannah loved the being in the fresh air and cuddling up in the hay with mom, auntie and grandma.

There was a pretty high demand for the hay ride! We waited almost an hour in line just to get on!

After the fun day in Mantorville, the girls put their costumes on for some Halloween pictures.

On Tuesday, we went to the pumpkin patch to pick out our own pumpkins to carve.
One for Hannah and one for Mom and Dad.

On Halloween, we dressed up our own little pumpkin and went trick-or-treating at grandmas and grandpas houses.

The Experience of Being a Reierson

Since our blog is entitled The Reiersons, we thought we'd give you a taste of life as a Reierson..."what's the worst that could happen?!"

Reiersons like to roast pig...whenever they can. If you've roasted pig, you've been officially inducted!

Lenny, Neil, Greg, Jerry, Paul, Scot, Josh, Rachel, and Kaylee help prepare the pig to celebrate both the conclusion of the "Reierson Biggest Loser" competition and Neil and Krystel's wedding shower.

The ladies chat over some drinks while they're waiting for the pig.

Reiersons also like to bust a move! Sorry, but we just couldn't grab the camera quick enough when Uncle David and Jay enacted the "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" dance. It was a moment that those that were witnesses will just seal into our mental photo albums. How nice.
Jayden, Ethan, Curt, Sabrina, Tim, Heather, Kaylee, Hannah and Mike get down at Neil and Krystel's wedding.

Neil and Krystel dance their first dance.

...and, what do REAL Reiersons do on rainy Sunday mornings after a partying-down Saturday night? Cuddle up on the couch and watch some football!!

What have the Reiersons been up to in the last month? Here's a quick run-down of the big events in our lives recently:
Over Labor Day weekend, we spent some time up at Dave and Jodi's cabins near Brainerd. We had the most perfect weather, and Hannah spent all day long enjoying the outdoors.

On some Wednesdays and all Thursdays, Hannah gets to spend the day with Alexis, as they share babysitters on those days. The two are quickly becoming best of friends. They are already learning lots of new tricks from each other...we haven't decided yet if this is good or bad?

A few weeks ago, Uncle Dan came up with Amanda and Alexis for a fun-filled Thursday at the zoo. The girls loved the fish tanks and the farm yard animals, but didn't love the loud bird room!

This week, Hannah learned about her father's obsession with sports. She attended her very first Twins game on Tuesday (along with Grandma Brenda and Grandpa Bill)...

...and her very first Wild game on Wednesday (along with Dave and Jodi)!

She was a very good girl at both games, but definitely liked the Wild game better, as there are far more TV screens to look at in the Xcel center!

As you can see, it's been a busy few weeks, and we're pooped out!

Welcome to the 21st Century

The Reierson's finally have internet at home again. After a few months without we decided the simpler life is just not for us. One of the biggest benefactors of this will be our blog so stay tuned for more frequent updates in the future.

Summer Fun

Hannah has been having a great time hanging out with her grandmas and aunt while Mom goes back to work during the week. She has finally forgiven Mom for taking her to the doctor for her two-month-old shots.

Grandma Brenda and Aunt Amanda were able get some good smile shots while Alexis was busy with her own photo shoot with Heather and Tim.

Didn't get to go to the beach, but we tried on the bikini for fun!

Hannah is beginning to master Tummy Time! She holds herself up very well, looks around, and tells us stories about the things she can see around her!

Daddy says it's time to start learning how to drive!

A new thing for her: TOYS! Watch as she discovers how much she loves her bouncer. (Please note: she has never taken ANY interest in even looking at the toys on this bouncer before, much less coo-ed or talked to it!)

Another fun adventure for the Reierson family was at the State Fair. Hannah got to hang out with Grandpa Mick all day (some at work, and some at home!), while Steph and Mike took in some classic fun at the fair with friends Dave and Jodi. After all was said and done, the full day's (10:30 am-9:30pm) list of food consumed by the four of us was tallied (in no particular order):

  1. Sweet Martha's Cookies and Milk

  2. Beer

  3. Cheese Curds

  4. Garlic Fries

  5. French Fries

  6. Jalapeno Poppers

  7. Ice Cream Sandwich

  8. Pickle on a Stick

  9. Pizza

  10. Caramel Apples

  11. Pronto Pup

  12. Cheese on a Stick

  13. Dublin Dawg (corn beef and cabbage on a stick)

  14. Deep Fried Reese's Peanut Butter Cup

  15. Gyro

  16. Corn on the Cob

  17. Calzone on a Stick

  18. Mini-Donuts

  19. Crepe

  20. Smores

  21. Quesadilla

We also enjoyed checking out the animal barns, the vendor booths, the International Bazaar (see picture of Mike below!) and the Midway (yes, we even rode some of the rides!).

As Jodi said, "Well done, team!"

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry...

I know we haven't been too good about blogging lately but we promise to get a great update up soon.

6 Weeks Old

Our little girl is already 6 weeks old! She has been growing like crazy lately.

Hannah is just starting to give us some beautiful smiles! She loves smiling and saying "A-goo" after getting her diaper changed. It's hard to catch those smiles with the camera, but here's our best effort!

Mom and Hannah had their first trip to the park. Hannah loved feeling the breeze on her face and kicking around on her blanket.

Hannah and Alexis travel in style in Grandma Brenda's van.

Hannah has had some fun visitors come see her lately. Ryan, Annie, Bella and Nolan LaMere came over to play one night, and Rodney and Tim came over to hang out the next night!
